I am a missing person.
You will find me in the harbor
sailing under a flag of convenience.

I keep a low profile
tucked between the fine livery,
barely afloat, sinfully shabby.
The water soothes.

Meet me here. Come quickly.
Look for the broken reeds.
Listen for my heartbeat.

We might raise these sails
and head south to Vera Cruz,
whole and free as air.
Come, before I burn this boat.
